- What is an eSIM?
- An eSIM is a digital SIM card built into your phone. There's no physical card to swap — you activate it by scanning a QR code, and it works on your phone alongside your existing SIM.
- Will my phone work with an eSIM?
- Most phones released since 2018 support eSIM, including iPhone XR and newer, Google Pixel 3 and newer, and Samsung Galaxy S20 and newer. Use the search above to confirm your specific model.
- Can I use an eSIM alongside my regular SIM?
- Yes. Most modern phones support dual SIM with one physical SIM and one eSIM active at the same time, so you can keep your home number while using BesteEsim data abroad.
- Do I need to be home to install my eSIM?
- Install the eSIM before you travel, while you have a stable Wi-Fi connection. You can then turn it on when you land at your destination — no internet needed at activation.
- Can I move an eSIM to a different phone?
- No. eSIMs are tied to the device they were installed on and cannot be transferred. If you switch phones, you'll need to purchase a new eSIM for the new device.
- What if my phone isn't in the list?
- It may still work — most flagship phones from 2018 onward support eSIM even if not listed. Email support@besteesim.com with your make and model and we'll confirm compatibility.
